There are (2) two ways to add products in Prokip
The video and articles below explain this in detail:
1. Adding products directly into the product module
2. Importing products into the app from other sources
In this article, we shall be learning how to use the first method and will touch on the second method briefly
Method 1
1. After login, locate and click on products
2. This takes you to the “Products Page”, to add new products, simply locate and click on “Add”
3. This takes you to the “Add new product” page, on this page, you go ahead to fill in the details of the new product, these details include
a. Product Name
b. SKU (Leave blank if you are not using a bar code scanner)
c. Product type (Either Single, Variable, or Combo)
d. Unit (Basic unit of sales)

Method 2
To import products into PROKIP, it’s either of two scenarios:
Scenario 1: You are migrating from another app and have exported your product details into Excel format
Scenario 2: You are new and have very many products, Method 1 will not work well for you
Whichever scenario you fall into, you will need to download, populate and import the “Import Product” template
To do this,
1. Refer to and follow the steps in Method 1
2. On the “PRODUCTS PAGE” locate and click on “IMPORT PRODUCTS” on the top menu
3. On the “Import products” page click on “download template file” to download the template
4. A template in .xls (excel) format will be downloaded onto your device, open it and populate the template using the given instructions provided on the app (under the “download ” button)
5. After populating the template as per instructions, save the template on your device.
a. Proceed back to the “Import Products” page and click on “File” to Import “Choose File”
